If they can come up with legislation that would have prevented any of the mass shootings id be all ears (no such thing ;)) and that only leaves eliminating every gun off the face of the earth. I wont get behind that one v

This thread is going to get deleted if you keep making it political. Suffice it to say the President is recently on record asking for a red flag law and universal background checks. Let’s leave it at that.

If Epstein was in thick enough, who knows. He may be on a island somewhere drinking little umbrella drinks, instead of being dead.

I am appalled that our entire government is so corrupt. I don't believe we would know this if we didn't have our current president. They will surely not police themselves, but they will seek to subjugate each and everyone of us. Who do you turn to who you can trust?

dam right it's political. what else would you call it. red flag laws are passed by politicians. should we all just keep our nose so far up our rectum it joins our Adams apple while we say "don't get political"....well then JimT vote for someone who is not a politician, good luck with that,...or don't vote. either way you help the anti-gun folks win.
some of you so called conservatives seem to always shoot yourself in the foot at the time most appropriate to snatch defeat from victory....all some of you guys do is piss and moan cause you don't get some "perfect person" that does everything just the way you want it....that ain't the way the world works....and why liberal socialists eventually win....they stick together.

Think about it guys. We don't want red flag laws....well most of us don't. That sounds like a conservative talking point. Now when someone comes along and says things that would get rave reviews on a liberal web page...like "he always lies"..."he didn't drain a swamp"..."he is on record for this and that"...while that person or persons may claim not to be a liberal or belong to a certain party but what they say is what the current liberal critics are saying then you apply the old "if it looks like a duck"....in life it isn't what you say you are that matters it is what you do that matters....that defines what and who you are. I am an old man that has seen many friends and leaders come and go so I know loyalty when I see it. "summertime soldiers and sunshine patriots" are a dime a dozen but people who support a cause worth defending even when the going gets hard and you have to swallow hard to do it....not so much. Example, I supported John McCain a lot, especially when it came to the military, but I did not like him even a little.

I guess just having your constitutional rights stripped before you have actually committed a crime may be the true "RED FLAG" what do you think? Regardless of what rights we are talking, should the government be allowed to determine what may or may not happen? Where is the guidelines for legislation such as this, are we giving all our freedoms over for what we "think" is security? What is going to stop this person from finding another way to get what they want? How long after you have given the courts the ability to strip your rights under suspicion do you figure out like all the other restrictions you are not any safer? Will it take until you are completely disarmed to figure out that gun control infact made you less safe and much more likely to be a victim? You know where this "Red Flag" law goes next? I will almost guarantee that the next shooting will sound like this " if only we could have reacted directly and not had to wait for the court system to react maybe we could have done something in time"!!! It is never enough until they have complete gun control I guarantee it.

The bottom line is Responsibility !How it is perceived ,manipulated, perverted, distorted, excused, what ever.Ten years ago I had my life savings stolen through a large scam that got a lot of people.35 years at the time of digging post holes for a living gone .250 k .It was the first time I saw how corrupt ,incompetent, and indifferent our judicial system was.5 years later a 38 year old stepson brought his drug problem to my job one too many times resulting in a broken nose. Lost 100k to a crooked company that fired me taking advantage of the opportunity while loosing my retirement home I was building. Now to tie this to my point, I cannot go before GOD ALMIGHTY and have an answer as to why I killed those people over just money! What I have noticed over the years is that the sense of responsibility has gone from 0 to 10 to 0 to 100 depending on who perceives it .This scale is horribly twisted for greed and power. We are not the same people we were a generation ago.The freak having sex with his dog in the city park in front of children thinks things are better but I beg to differ !How do you get people to feel this responsibility not to to precipitate mass shootings ? Hell I don't know. What makes a person return a wallet to the rightful owner full of money. A young Indian boy was walking with his grandfather telling him about his troubled dream he had.He said there are two wolves pulling on each arm fighting for my sole .One is mean ,selfish, hateful, and cruel. The other is kind ,thoughtful, generous, and loving .Which one will win Grand father ? " The one you feed the most " he said .Which one do we feed and how will it help our country ? Ralph Mollett

Here is some food for thought. In the Bible a lot of people were killed by their family,by bad guys and by supposed friends, not a gun in sight. All over this world everyday people are killed and suicides are committed and not a gun in sight. But now the politicians think they have the answers to solve this needless carnage by passing more gun control laws. Pipe dream at best. If I want to eliminate someone, somebodies or myself and I don`t have a gun I`m pretty sure I could figure out another way. What is needed is a serious look at the mind altering drugs the youth and others are given due to the lack of parenting. The mindset in our country that you can fix every problem with a pill, is the problem. Time for more coffee. Jeff

Your "telling it like it is" is certainly offensive to me. If you ain't with em, you're against em.

Good God, let's keep the school yard crap out of this, or we're done.

These deaths don't trump my rights.

I read this here, and can't remember which of you guys posted it. It is the most brutal and most true statement of where we're at with this.

Nah, not at all. Have you ever told a lie? Does that make you a liar as well? I feel safe saying most here have told a lie for whatever reason. Yes, it pizzes me off that we're even having this discussion after being told by him that the 2A was safe with him. That said.... he's done a better job than anyone I've seen holding the office during my life time. Add the opposition he faces, and the fact that the covers have been pulled back to reveal how corrupt our government actually is... the truth meter seems to be swaying in the right direction.

Yeah, we couldn’t do that on the debate team. I think it’s a “millennial” thing. Don’t want to think or get our feelings hurt.
