First time at 1000 ! Any suggestions ?

No need to sweat it.
If you just get to a match, many guys there will be happy to get you right up on the bank, quicker and easier than you'd think!
You're putting way too much thought into it.
The part about keeping them all centered up, and close together will come in time. Being Close Enough to have FUN, and not shoot your neighbors paper (usually) is easier than you think.
Get yourself out there, and enjoy

Yea , that’s just me . I had to make sure I shot a clean before I ever shot my first match . Guess it was important to me to do good . And I’m not sure I’m a match guy . I’m just enjoying shooting long distance .

Just got a 28” Shilen for wife’s 6BR and I had to come up 4 moa for 300 with 29.3 Varget . Didn’t think .7 grains would be so much slower . Hopefully barrel will get faster and maybe I can get to a higher node .
I spoke from memory and I should have known better. Just looked at my notes. I am up from 3.75 to 4 minutes to get to 300 from 100--just about like you. I corrected my original post.

That’s what I don’t really understand . My wife’s BR , the brand new one is on 4 moa , but mine is 2.2 moa . I didn’t think 2” of Barrel and .7 grains less powder would effect elevation that much .
