A few Farley rest owners have contacted me about a replacement for the adjustable handle that locks the height adjustment. I made 2 of the large knobs for a member of Accurate Shooter, and his daughter. I’ll post pictures of it installed next week. The knobs can to customize to fit your requirements.

Mark does absolutely beautiful work. He will work with you to suit your needs. The knobs he made for us work so much better than that flopping lever.

I’m interested. You mentioned you might do them in SS.

Can you give me an idea on price?

    Thanks

For those interested here is one of the knob that can be finish up to Farley or other rests. The base diameter is .900” with a length of .750” and can be recut as needed. With a larger diameter just over 1 5/8” with a total length of 1.95”. It can be drill and tap to fit any thread required. PM if your interested this or if you have other size requirements.

    Thanks for looking,
    Mark

Several have ask about doing pieces in stainless steel, here is one cut from 416 Stainless Steel. The knob itself is 1.74 with a .990 shoulder. This one is sold, but I have 304 and 416 in several diameter. And can make one to fit your needs.

    Thank you, Paw.

Here’s the latest knob for the Farley rest. Made out of 6061 T6 aluminum, at 1 5/8 “ X 1 3/8” wide not including the shoulder it fit nicely in the hand.
With Father’s Day coming up, now is the prefect time to buy something for self.

    Thanks to all,
    Mark

Very nice knobs but is that a set screw in the side?

    Dusty,
It is a set screw. I use Loctite along with a set screw to lock the stud in place.

    Kevin,
Good to know it made the trip.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Here’s an 1 5/8” stainless steel knob that was just finished. I have stainless steel and aluminum up to 2”.

For those considering a larger knob for their rest, here’s a 2” stainless steel that ready to ship. The 5/16” scallops are right at .100, providing plenty of grip.

    Thanks for looking,

Here’s another 2” stainless knob but the shooter uses ammo block on the left side of his rest. Narrowing the knob by 3/4” the width of the knob is 1 5/8” wide.

Here’s one of the installed, even at 2” in diameter there is room. The feedback from everyone that bought one has been positive.
