F Class spotter stands - what are most using these days

When I stopped shooting high power I sold my Spotter stand... And kept my bench stand...
Now I want to start shooting F Class so - now I need a new one.

1) What do you see most guys using in the competition

2) I now Ray had a F class stand but from what I see he’s retired.. so I’m a couple years too late.

What Jay said..... Rod made mine with a pole extension to make it easier to use from seated position when scoring

Have used a lot of different stands and think the Giraud is definitely the best I've come across. Combine it with an Eliseo scope head and you have perfection IMHO. Expensive, but the best.

I like my Giraud but It did not really shine for me until I added a RayVin outrigger.

A picture of Rod’s would be cool
My Mirage Rx stand comes with a Manfrotto MHXPRO 3-Way head that features friction clutches as well as locking handles. I remove the handles and don’t use any of the locks once I set the clutches to hold azimuth and elevation with the scope in
place. This allows me to grab the eyepiece with one hand and pull, push or rotate the scope till my cheek is still in my stock and I can check mirage without moving out of position. The stands I have used in the past have been hard to adjust one handed while in position or the legs are in the way. I don’t like using half my prep time to set up my mirage scope so I wanted a faster way to set a scope up. My setup hangs the scope down from the horizontal beam so you have room to load underneath the scope without interference. It works fine for right hand shooters using left hand loading ports. There is an adjustable memory collar for lowering the head unit back for mirage use after raising it for spotting or scoring.

Thanks Rod, that’s a nice setup..

I may be a while before I pick one up given there aren’t any F class shoots going on around here until summer.
Is there a link to where you sell those ?

I saw some of Rod's Mirage RX stands in use up in Oklahoma this past weekend. I like the low profile of the base and the stability with the scope in a cantilevered position. There may be a Giraud/Ray-Vin outrigger up on the market soon;).
