Kelbly's is one, Bat Machine is another. You can have them polished up; very shiny. There are other companies as well.
Warne makes some... most higher end stuff is all matte or black though... wish more manufactures made silver... the bat's I thought were pic. Rail, but they are model specific on the website.
I have one from Borden, but I do not know if Jim makes them for actions other than his.
It would help to know what action. Matt
I sent some Burris Signatures and EGW rails to
Mahovskys Metalife to have Bright Nickel applied.
Matches my polished actions really well.
From the factory, Burris Nickel rings have a gold tint,
and not very PURDY. LDS
Thank you all going with bat.
Really....bases and rings made of silver!! Isn't it kinda soft? How does silver machine?
Sorry..I couldn't resist!!
If you actually want stainless rings and a stainless rail you could go to Richard Near at Near MFG. Not cheap but actual stainless and finish quality is incredible...
Murphy Precision also makes both a Stainless rail and stainless rings. I have not been all that impressed with finish work on that rail, a sample of one for a Borden SSR, however, I am certain they could turn out a good product. I am thinking of giving him another chance on a Titanium Rail for my Anschutz 1727 HB GRS.
All that being said I think the Near Rail and Rings just MAY represent the pinnacle of material and execution. I wish he made rails to fit my Borden.
