Nah! What you should do is box it up in a 2 day priority and send it to the PITA main offices, with a note. They’ll know what to do with it.

Wife said someone already drove over it, looks like it 1/4 up from tail, and wasn’t moving very good she said. So wife finished it off with set of BFGOODRICH KO2.

So sad. However, it should not have been playing in the traffic.

My green way of thinking is planting it under the dirt to help the grass grow.....

I’m the odd man out here. I’ve killed God knows how many copperheads, but only when they’re a stone’s throw from the house. When I’m out in the woods it’s a truce. Rodents (snake food) have caused me way more grief than snakes have.

I have never saw one of these, nice pic. Box it up and send it to the demo party, they deal with snakes everyday

Most snakes around here I’ll let them go. Timber rattlers, not to many prairie rattlers, but have seen them they will let you know when you get to close. But the copperhead has a attitude and usually are pissed, and will head right toward you for no reason.
If I am out, in the timber or fishing, a 45 long colt with home made bird shot loads sit’s in the cylinders, and been used quite often.

In my back yard this morning. This is as close as my worker would get. Likely a cottonmouth. Last one was sunning on the cement drive. These snakes do not run from you and will attack if threatened. Best thing to do is keep your distance or be ready to kill it. A guy died a couple of months ago from being bitten about 15 miles from my home.
