Looking at buying a couple plates. Looking for some size and thickness recommendations. Thinking about round ones. I am looking for one to shoot at a 100yd with an iron sight ar and one for shooting my 9mm hand gun at 15- 25 yds. I dont want them too easy to hit i want some challenge. Thanks

We tend to used 3/8" AR500 the most. If your shooting at close distances, with heavy or fast calibers, 1/2" will hold up better. For far away plates (800y+), 1/4" works well and rings a little better. Closer targets work good on t-posts or 1x2 or 2x4 stands. They won't swing that way. For far targets, we like conveyor belts straps with bolts. They resist impacts and allow the plates to swing and give you more feedback. If you don't find exactly what your looking for at Alloy Targets, take a look at AA Targets. We have been shooting his targets for years, he is a very good guy too.
