given a benchrest rifle what are you finding as far as grouping of benchrest bullets go.the yardages of say 100 600 and 1000.also describe your rifles and if possible your loads and their speeds out of the barrels if you know them.
    thank you for your time.

    6x47L as it's called.
I had my freebore set to .208" for more powder capacity.
Burned through 4 barrels and sold two rifles that had 400-500 rounds through those barrels so I have some experience with the cartridge.

I don't think you can attain the small vertical and consistency of the 6mmBR and it's variants you'll need for 600 and 1000Y benchrest matches.

That being said, you'll have a wind advantage. I used mine to win two long range steel championships so the cartridge is awesome for that kind of match.

My last 28" 8 twist was getting 3178 fps with 105 hybrids.
With R-17 powder it's possible to get another 100 fps more.

3000 fps with 115's in a longer barrel is a good combo.

The best I ever did was hitting a MGM mini popper with 4 shots into 1.5" and the 5th hit on the other side of the popper opening the group to 3.5" wide but that last shot was still in line with the rest.

Got quite a few groups in the 5" to 6" vertical at 1000Y.
