6 Dasher reamer

Anyone have reamer speed out with JGS? Wanting to order one but not sure what to order

Plan to shoot 105 hunting match video and 108BT. Probably want a .270 neck

Thanks for any help

That's exactly what I have but with PTG. I can send you that print if need be. It is a .2704 neck; 130 fb; and 1.555 case length. It has served me well

I've heard from a couple top smith's that recently PTG reamers were not cutting up to par. A little QC issue. That's reason I may go with JGS

Send JGS a email and they will send you back a print and you can make changes from there. They are great to work with!

I have a JGS 6 dasher reamer.

.271 freebore, .155 freebore. all other specs are standard 6 dasher.

I turn necks to 0.12 with lapua blue box. works well.

pm your email if you want my reamer print.

When ordering a custom 6 Dasher, 6 BRX reamer from whomever, one should consider the neck length to be reduced from the original 6BR case. The cases always reduce in length and expands in diameter.

I order mine .015 less in length than the standard BR since I use hydro-formed brass. If I was blowing out brass, I would order the reamer OAL .010 shorter. The shorter neck difference vs standard BR is where fouling and carbon rings start to develop. So why not reduce the OAL so you have the correct fit for the application.

Just my .02¢ worth.

I think the trend is moving toward having .003" clearance rather than .002". This "newer standard" when coupled with some of the fatter bullets or bigger pressure rings out there are pushing people back to the .272" neck for a true no turn set up. Personally I would want to skim the new blue box brass for a .2704 chamber.

the brass I have was skim turned(not by me) and loaded round is right at 0.2682/3 IIRC. Chamber is 2704. So this is close and would really it be a little more clearance in there since I shoot off the dirt/ground in Fclass. This is with blue box Lapua and 105 Amax bullets

Pretty much the same here, loaded round is .268" and works beautifully with a .2704" reamer.

Something that isn't talked about much here but is very important in my opinion, is the freebore diameter. Has anyone had one ground smaller than .2435? I would love to hear others experiences.

My reamer is a .2435, but I had a few guys tell me to go even bigger when I was asking for advice. I stuck with it though. I have never heard of anyone going smaller.

I have a .271 neck and a .155 FB.
