Does anyone else make it?
Not that I know of. Peterson has said they are but so far their website isn’t saying they do. I do make practice brass out of 6.5 Creedmoor. Get about 80% success rate without folding the shoulder into itself. Since it is range pickup for me no loss for me. My Lapua is then used for my matches.
Why? The lapua brass lasts forever. I have cases with over 20 firings. So long as you don't run crazy pressure.
Lapua 6.5x47 is one of the best cases I’ve ever used as far as quality and toughness.
just wondering if peterson or someone else makes it---just built my kids a couple and need more for them. thanks for the response marc
thanks for the replies
I was pushing mid 2900's out of mine with VV550 and I don't think I hurt it a bit and the SD were in the 8's.
Lapua brass is the best in pretty much every cal I use it in.
Lapua is world renown for their brass. Lapua developed the 6.5 X 47 cartridge. Use Lapua. It is very good brass in every respect.
3rd Generation has that brass. 10% discount till Labor Day.
Another member here posted several years ago how to make it out of 22-250 brass. I did it back then just because. Search for it on the site. I remember cutting .250 or so off of a .308 die, run it through that, then run it through a 6.5x47 die. The details were in the post, it was fairly easy.
