308 win w/180 elite hunters

Anyone have any experience with the berger 180 elite hunters with there 308s ? Velocities, accuracy, bullet performance on game ?

The rifle I was going to use needs some loving from my gunsmith and he will not be back till middle of Sep. I tried to shoot in my comp rifle but the bullets were a little long. I am reloading and will do again tomorrow afternoon
6 shoot of 43.8 gns Varget 100 yards, the one way out was resighting in the scope.

I may have found my new bullet for mid range and low wind longe range. I really like the Burger 30 cal Elite Hunter 180 grain bullets. I have been testing H4895 and Varget. The smallest groups so far with 41 grains of H4895 with average velocity of 2670 SD of 11.0. Then with Varget 43.8 grains average velocity of 2731 and a SD of 6.1. I can add more powder for each but I need to order more bullets. One problem I have now is I adjusted trigger pull weight down but I think I went too far going to have to back off a little.
The upper left is 10 shots of 43.8 grains of Varget, the center is 4 warm up and 20 chronograph the rest are load test.

Shot the EH in a match today a 300 yard Reduce Palma match. I shot 145 6X; 150 7X and 145 5X. I am ordering some more of the EH 180's. I still haveing trigger problem going to take apart and check it out.
