ohhh.now we are talking...
gas milage is gonna suck with all these rifles in the back!
Guys all those mountains are public land. Find a 4x4 trail bring a tent and some guns. Tons of rivers and lakes, all you need is a yellow spoon and a cheap fishing pole. Every town has a brewery as well.
There is also Yellowstone and Glacier
national parks to kill a little time
Now that's what I'm talkin about! Shoot some relays, slay Prarie dogs in the afternoon and go fishing in the evening. Can't get much better than that. It's the perfect day
Later in the year, we could hunt elk. That might be better than PD's.
Nothing quite as exciting as putting a bull elk on the ground Shooting PDs sure is a lot less work tho! Lol
So what power scopes will the norm be at this distance?
I am thinking I want to use a 10-50 Kahles. Only 60 moa, but the 50 moa adapter from @AlloyTargets will make it perfect.
I plan on running these:
Sightron 10-50x (has 50 moa)
IOR Valdada 10-52x (has 100 moa)
March 10-80x (has 60 moa)
Will be running 40moa bases on a couple of guns I'm starting work-ups on now.
And the @AlloyTargets 50 moa base for 1 gun or Warne 90 moa rings.
Once I get my scopes set-up I'm not moving anything around from any gun to another.
since i am mentally handicapped..for just trying this..
i am shooting a 300 win mag with a 5.5-22x56 moar-t.
it will be tuff to make small adjustments, but its all fun.
Tooling - in
7075 AL Bar - On order
CAD Drawings - just about complete
Just need some CAM time and machine time to open up.
Make some STEEP one's for the 6mms
100, 50, zero. That's the plan for the first ones.
Sit on a phone book and stack them.
How much height will a 50 add to the existing rail? Troy
I need more info on the Breweries and there locations.
About everywhere you look lol. They just outlawed drinking and driving like 6 years ago!
Phillipsberg has a good one, Bayern in Missoula is very good. The one here in Dillon is ok. I hear the deerlodge one is good. Just get out a map and find a loop of small towns you would like to visit, they will have one.
If there's only one place one place of business in a small Montana town, you can bet it will be a bar. Gotta have priorities straight and all...
Separate names with a comma.
