This was his first hunt ever, the boy just turned 12!
Taken yesterday in the Gila Wilderness in New Mexico at 250 yards.
Gun is a 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 I screwed together for him and his 13 year old sister who has taken a deer and antelope with it. The sons Tikka Lite in 6.5 hurt them both, thus the gas gun.

Great picture and congratulation. A fitting representation of an AR used as a hunting rifle for Americas future hunters and gun enthusiasts. This should be used to contradict the anti-gunner's labeling AR's as weapons of war.

CONGRATS!!! that is an unforgettable moment for a young hunter, and an elk to boot, so awesome, I'm happy to see our hunting passions passed on to the next generation!! They are the hope of the future of the sport we all love and cherish. What a proud moment for you and your son. And for your granddaughter with her hunting success, this is the true meaning of quality family time.
    CONGRATS to all, great job.
