    Bore scope

Started out with a Teslong when they first became a thing. Got three more of various styles free for doing evaluations and reviewing. Wouldn't be without one...and that's even though I no longer correspond with them! Great product for a fair price.

.45 ACP all the way. Mostly 1911 style, but also carry a Kahr CW45 for convenience.

    Do you guys use protection?

I keep a roll of the old black friction tape handy. Predecessor of today's electrical tape and one roll lasts forever. I cut a strip just the size for the rings and use on both halves. Provides good cushioning between scope and rings and just tacky enough for additional grip. Haven't marred a...

Forester Co-Axe issues with Hornady dies help pls

Wild shot here, and not trying to insult anyone...but are you sure the depriming stem isn't set too deep? That will sure keep the brass from fully entering the die and the shoulders from being touched. Don't ask how I know....

    Healthcare over reach!

Which is where I say "Yep...more than anywhere else." and my nurse laughs. She knows me pretty well and we sometimes talk guns.

I feel so much better about using my ChargeMaster 1500 now…

Works for me. Powder granules no longer cling to the inner surfaces of the measure like they did before using the strap. And yes, I also wipe down with dryer sheets. YMMV.

I feel so much better about using my ChargeMaster 1500 now…

Along the same idea, I use an elastic antistatic wrist band on the hopper and clipped to a grounded wire I stuck out from an outlet. These bands are commonly used as personal grounding equipment for people working on sensitive electronics and have alligator clips on the oposite end for ease of...

    Little cleaning trick

Always told my daughters that a dab of bacon grease behind the ears and Hoppes sprayed as a mist would catch them the right kind of men.

    Best hand priming tool?

After having two Lee hand primers finally give up the ghost due to wear on the "cam" piece that caused primers to no longer be seated entirely (not complaining - many years of service until that happened) I switched to a pair of RCBS Universal hand primers. I set one up for large primers and the...

Bolt hard to close with certain bullets

Think you are on the right track thinking about a short throat. May have to bump the bullets back a little further. It won't hurt anything. COAL isn't an engraved in stone marker. It is meant as a guide, not an absolute. Good luck to you.

    Hearing protection for children

Adults get along far better with foam plugs than kids do. Adults know what to feel for and how to fit plugs. Kids are clueless and usually fidget with them nonstop. There are countless over-the-head models out there with a slimline design that also have good reduction values. They are...

    22-250 Components

Always used Remington brass and you can't go wrong with CFE223 under Hornady 52-grain ELD-M bullets. Makes tiny little groups out of my Ruger #1 22-250 with 1 - 14 twist.

Sounds right...and to add insult to injury, he also brought me two 1,000 count boxes of Remington 7 1/2 BR primers...$20 per 1,000.

Used to be very common to get one pound canisters that were cardboard body with metal ends. Lots of various powders (especially the military surplus) came in cardboard containers, particularly the eight pounders but many smaller sizes as well. Very common to get a lot of the "shotgun" powders in...

No idea. But my last batch is the same way. Not sure when the switch was made. A lot of my friend's stock is from the era of cardboard canisters. As note, he is meticulous about humidity and storage.
