    Bullseye Powder in Chargemaster

Pretty normal. Happens with other similar powders too. Wipe the inside of the hopper with a used dryer sheet. Won't stop it completely, but cuts down on the amount.

One of my .308 cases keeps over flowing with powder???

Why did you think everyone is always yammering about 'bug holes'? ;)

ChatGPT's Answer to "Why does bullet jump affect precision?"

Regardless of many of the opinions...it's still a fun exercise and totally harmless as long as one doesn't take the answer as pure gospel...much like some of the postings on sites such as this!;)

Happy Fathers Day to All Dads

And to all who may not be Dads, but are still meaningful persons in a young life. A huge THANKS to you as well.

    Brushed Firing Pin

I believe you mean 'bushing' the firing pin? Bushing, as I understand it, provides a closer fit of the pin to the bolt. This helps mitigate the 'cratering' that can occur when there is a substantial gap between the pin and the sides of the hole in the bolt. It will NOT, however, eliminate such...

    Yep, I'm old and cranky.

Brand new 70's era Llama double-action .22. Spit lead all over the place and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Finally realized that the cylinder wasn't indexing with the forcing cone properly. Dealer was good enough to take it back and refund my money.

    Rant mode on

Add the "black hole of Palatine Illinois" to that list. I always get a sinking feeling when tracking shipments through there. Usually sits there for days or even weeks, and sometimes vanishes even then.

Why does weatherby get a pass?

Had a .257 years ago. Guy owed me quite a bit of money and offered it to me as part payment. Really liked it and was a real deer getter, but a few years later a guy who collected the early rifles (and mine fell into his range) offered me about twice what I thought it was worth. Bye bye rifle!

Why does weatherby get a pass?

Because Roy Weatherby was a great salesman and actually used his creations. Not a real fan, but he did a great job of promoting his product.

    Brass Brass Brass

First - "small base" dies only squeeze the base of the brass (back by the rim) slightly smaller for functioning in some semi-autos without feeding issues. They certainly aren't going to do a thing about the issue you state - necks too large. Second - if you are indeed running cases through a...

    XP-100 load data 223

No longer have one, but I also used AA2200 in my XP100 in .223. Used with 50 through 55 grain bullets. Accurate, good velocities and easy to meter. Still use the same powder in my .223 rifle.

    220 Swift; rimmed or not?

.220 Swift is indeed a "semi-rimmed" case. It depends on if the extractor is substantial enough to engage the smaller rim. The good news is that the .220 rim is .473", the same as the .243 - .30-06 family. The body is just .445" at the base - .028" smaller than the rim. Perhaps the extractor...

As I've said before - you can't help getting old, but you can stay immature forever. Living proof here...
