  1. RELOADING .380 ACP

Thanks to all of you for your very helpful comments. I think you've saved me a heap of trouble. Ray 123, I was surprised by a couple of your comments; first, that you don't like the Hornady dies. This surprised me because my experience with Hornady dies has been very favorable. But the ones...
  2. RELOADING .380 ACP

I've been reloading for more years than I care to remember, mostly rifle and a trainload of .38/.357, but never .380 ACP. Now I find myself needing to get started on that caliber and have a few questions. First relates to bullet diameter. I'd like to load cast bullets 'cuz they're cheap...
  3. Insane Gunbroker Price on H4895

Good question. Shipping costs + Hazmat fee can really run up the cost. The only way I've ever been able to minimize this is by buying in big lots, even to the point af making up a bulk shipment by sharing an order with shooting buddies. That can bring down the price per pound a lot. Also, if...
  4. Laugh for the Day

    It might be an improvement.
  5. S&W Bodyguard .38 SPL report

I have a model 38 too, a Bodyguard Airframe variant. I appreciate that the da trigger has to be high, but does it really have to be >12 lbs? I put a set of Wolff reduced wt. springs in it, but it's still higher than I'd like it to be at ~10 lbs. (for example, I have a 1957 K38 with an action...
  6. Primer prices

That was the article. I guess I forgot that it said they'd just broken ground. Damn - I don't mind getting old, but I hate also getting senile.
  7. Primer prices

I saw an ad a couple of days ago for Fiocchi primers. I had read a few weeks ago that they were building a primer mfg factory, so it looks like it's now in production. That might help improve the price & availability situation. Fiocchi makes good ammo, so I'd expect no quality problems...
  8. Optics Recommendation for Kimber M82 Government .22 LR Target Rifle

Burris Signature rings. With the accessory inserts you can get as much as 40 MOA external elevation, depending on ring spacing. I like the Signature Zees, paired with J&P Delrin adapters instead of a rail. I use this setup on most all my RF rifles.
  9. Optics Recommendation for Kimber M82 Government .22 LR Target Rifle

I have one of these scopes and couldn't agree more. Really nice scope but the reticle is a bit thinner than I prefer. I almost gave up on it the first time I used it for exactly that reason.
  10. New daystate pcp airgun

Yeah, but it wasn't a Red Ryder! :)
  11. Ohio Toxic Cloud info

If that's true, will anybody be able to tell the difference?
  12. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a DG bullet?
  13. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

That's good advice, but I'm 84 and primarily a rimfire benchrest shooter. I buy match grade .22lr by the case but don't shoot much pistol these days. I don't need 2K 9mm bullets. I'd probably end up buying them for my heirs, and they don't reload. But thanks for the input. :)
  14. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

I;m afraid you're mistaken. The price for Blue bullets at Powder Valley is about $5.00/250 less than Precision Delta wants per 100 for jacketed bullets. But thanks for responding.
  15. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

So - same as with cast bullets. I'll keep that in mind. Confirms what Hoser said earlier. Thanks to both of you!
  16. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

Thanks - that's good to know! Do you find any plastic residue after firing? I assume if there is any it's not hard to remove.
  17. Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

Anybody using polymer-clad Blue Bullets (brand name and color) for reloading 9x19 practice ammo? The price is right and I'd like to know what those who use(d) them have to say.
  18. Gunbroker -- Suspicious Sale then Relisting

It's also possible that the buyer backed out. I'd hesitate to jump to any conclusions.
  19. Gunbroker -- Suspicious Sale then Relisting

I've bought quite a few guns off GB over the past 20 years or so and have never had a problem. I should stress, though, that I always look at the feedback. I have to ask, though, can the poster cite actual evidence of repeated cheating or is his comment just opinion? P.S. I accidentally...
  20. Observing my wife and grandchildren.

I live in Arkansas and have an uberlib sister in Virginia (Transplanted from California, no surprise) who's the same way. So is so steeped in far left ideology that she's immune to facts. She has 2 PhD's, which probably explains why.
