My factory r700 varmint 223 ( bought new in 2018, had stickers for 2016) has a 12twist, I tried atleast 20 different combos with no luck. Lots of...
I have a 26" 9twist savage varmint, .8" at the muzzle that feels good balance wise. My 28" 7tw bull, 1" at muzzle is heavy, and I like it A LOT....
If you are going 1k often I would go 6mm just for the extra energy/splash. My 22-250 with 75gr is A LOT of fun, I would suggest it to anyone.
I just bought a stock for my 12fv 223. I'm amazed how well shoots, its a keeper.
This is more than 5 shots with factory "Frontier" ammo that...
I have one ffp, it is neat measuring with the reticle. For itty bitty groups, I prefer sfp.
I have shot some decent groups during load development, with no brass prep. This is for my 12fv savage varmint gun, far from a competition setup.
I keep checking the Starline website, hopefully soon.
I'll take it.
Bringing this back up.
How well did it work? Less recoil than no brake, and quiter than a nekid brake?
Nice looking gun! Im slowly accumulating parts for a a triple duece.
I have an older 60 gallon belair that is nice, 5hp, 15.8cfm. It works for a one man autobody shop. I'm piecing this one together, its huge....
Yes, a hot rod 6mm is a force to be reckoned with. A 204 can put down a hurting as well.
That's not what this thread is about. I love my .223's.
Ill take it.
I think the best money spent on a factory r700 is bushing the bolt. Thats the only fault my r700 223 has(ignorance is bliss ).
I attempted to bed my 20moa rail, with this scope on an r700. At the range it was punching HIGH at 100yds. Redid the job, has more than enough...
Incredible! Good to see a repeater action putting down benchrest groups
Thats a beauty. Who made the stock?
I bought a basic 223 adl, stripped it down for a CBI barrel, RB trigger, and a boyds stock. You will find me at the range, smiling ear to ear,...
What is your b.t.o or o.a.l. with the 75? I found a spot it likes at 34grns 414, Ill have to look a bit higher.
Thats great! I just got an iron sight bolt action 22lr for my 5yr old. We are still working with an air soft gun, great teaching tool.
