Great company...fantastic barrels.
Are you talking about Slip 2000 carbon cleaner?
Too much surface area. Kinda like racing slicks on a dragster.
My reamer cuts a .167” freebore and it does well with 130 and 140gr Bergers. I bet a .180” would be fine.
I am curious about CLR but I am hesitant to use it in cleaning my rifles. Although I do not know whether it may harm stainless, it is corrosive.
I would send it to someone to repair (fill in dings and sand) but I would not dip that stock.
Berger 115 VLD needs a 1-7.3”
Performance of the two would be very similar. 7-08 would be less time consuming and would be my choice.
I believe Douglas push buttons their barrels.
Obermeyer 5R Stainless 6.5mm AMU contour 31” blank 1-8.4” twist...$330 shipped.
SPF to chuckgreen
I pay shipping. Check or money order is fine.
Obermeyer 5R Stainless .30 cal AMU contour 1-11” twist 29” blank - $320.
Krieger 4 groove 6.5mm 1-8” twist 1.250 for 5” tapering to 1.1” at 30”...31” blank - $330.
@Alex Wheeler uses Rock barrels in some of his builds. Maybe he will chime in on this.
I shoot 90 VLD’s out of a .223 1-7” twist chambered with the PTG ISSF .169” freebore. The 90’s are not the most forgiving bullet for most people...
The Bravo is an outstanding value and resembles a fiberglass stock in appearance.
.22 BR is outstanding accuracy wise. That’s what I would choose.
